The Bluegrass Reception and Assessment Center is a model program utilizing innovations in the intake or reception of adjudicated youths committed to the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice. The primary purpose of the program is evaluating youths for criminogenic needs and identifying the most appropriate post-adjudication placement. This program operates in a staff-secure 24-bed (16 assessment beds & eight Alternatives to Detention beds) facility with a typical length of stay of 30 days.
