Adair Youth Development Center keeps juveniles focused on developing positive skills and reaffirming outlooks for successful return to their communities so they can grow into productive adults. The facility strives to be a safe and secure place for juveniles to learn and grow in preparation for their future.
About Adair Youth Development Center
Adair Youth Development Center opened in 2000. The facility accepts male juveniles from all over the state. It operates in conjunction with Adair Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
The facility has a maximum capacity of 20 beds and offers a variety of programs including GED testing, woodworking, building apartment maintenance, OSHA certification, Microsoft Office 2016 certification, personal finance, energy management and more.

Greg Lundy, Interim Facility Manager
With 25 years of experience in juvenile justice, Gregory Lundy first began his career in October 2000 as a Social Service Worker I at Adair Youth Development Center. In January 2014, he advanced to Juvenile Facility Superintendent I at Frankfort Group Home, and by August 2016, he took on roles as Juvenile Facility Superintendent II at both Lake Cumberland and Greenland Youth Development Centers.A graduate of Lindsey Wilson College with a BA in Human Services and an MA in Mental Health Counseling, Gregory is committed to ensuring every juvenile receives the respect and compassion he believes in for himself. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking and coaching basketball.
