About Ashland Day Treatment Center
Ashland Day Treatment Center serves Boyd, Carter, and Greenup counties, accepting youth aged 12-17​ for unique educational opportunities and special learning. The program was founded in 1997 and has a capacity of 36 youth. Juveniles from Ashland Group Home attend school at this location, as well as students from outside of the DJJ system.

​Charles Ingram, Superintendent

Charles Ingram has served as superintendent at Ashland Day Treatment Center since January 2026. In this role, Ingram oversees the day-to-day operations of the facility and ensures proper services are provided to juveniles.​

Prior to joining the department, Ingram supported at-risk youth as a group leader with Ramey Estep Homes. Ingram joined the department as a youth worker at Boyd Regional Juvenile Detention Center in 2010 before being promoted through the ranks at the facility, becoming its youth service program supervisor in March 2023. After two years in this role, Ingram transferred to the same role at Ashland Day Treatment, where he served until being named superintendent at Ashland Day Treatment. ​​
