Jackson Group Home provides every juvenile that walks through its doors with compassionate care. Staff members are devoted to making a difference in the lives of the juveniles with rehabilitation services.

About Jackson Group Home
Jackson Group Home opened in 2018. From 1999 - 2018, the facility was combined with Breathitt County Day Treatment as the Cadet Leadership and Education Program. he programs continue to operate within the same building but serve separate purposes and programming. Juveniles housed at Jackson Group Home attend school at Breathitt County Day Treatment.​

The facility has a maximum capacity of 8 juveniles, and offers a variety of programs for juveniles, including anger management courses and counseling for drug and alcohol problems. The facility was originally constructed in 1999 and has seen the successful re-entry of many juveniles over those years.

Jackson Group Home’s Juvenile Facility Manager is Jason Jett, who has been with the Department of Juvenile Justice for 24 years and has worked at Jackson Group Home since just a few months after its opening.

​Jason Jett, Facility Manager

Jason Jett began his career with the Department of Juvenile Justice in 2000. In that time, he has served in all position levels within DJJ facilities, spending twelve years as a counselor, four years as a Youth Services Program Supervisor, before transferring to Jackson Group H​ome in 2018 and taking over the position of Juvenile Facilities Manager.

Jett received a bachelors in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology from Morehead State University in 1997. He says his motivation for this line of work comes for a desire to help juveniles and see them lead happier, safer lives.
