Detention Centers

​​​​The Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice operates eight (8) secure Juvenile Detention Centers; seven (7) facilities house only male youth, and one (1) house female only youth.  All eight (8) facilities provide secure detention services for court ordered youth in all counties in Kentucky.

The Detention Centers provide programs with a wide range of services including: an on-site academic program, counseling, medical and mental health care, and assessment.
