London Group Home is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment where youth can heal, grow and thrive. Through comprehensive treatment and life skills development, the facility aims to prevent recidivism and empower young individuals to become responsible, contributing members of society. The group home focuses on fostering independence, encouraging personal growth and preparing each resident for a successful transition back to their community.


About London Group Home​
London Group Home is located six miles off I-75 in western Laurel County. Originally housing only female youths, the facility has been in operation at its current location since 2001. Since December 2005, the group home has served only male youths. The staff at London Group Home are dedicated to fostering a family-like atmosphere that is both encouraging and supportive while maintaining the structure and consistency necessary to promote a secure environment for all youths in their care.

​​Cody Thompson, Facility​ Manager
Cody Thompson has served as the Deputy Juvenile Facility Manager at London Group Home since June 2024. Thompson brings over 11 years of experience in juvenile justice to the role, beginning his career with the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet in 2016. He has held roles including P​robation and Parole Officer, Reentry Coordinator and Justice Program Administrator. In his current role, Thompson oversees daily operations and youth care.

A graduate of Union College with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Thompson is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Kentucky Council on Crime and Delinquency and the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. In 2018, he received a Commissioner's Coin for exceptional service. Outside of work, Cody enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth sports and serving as a Deacon and youth program volunteer at his church.​
